Job Description
Responsibilities:
Organize and supervise accounting and tax accounting processes in compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
Prepare and ensure timely submission of financial, tax, statistical, and management reporting;
Control the accuracy of accounting transactions and postings within accounting systems;
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes and preparation of annual financial statements;
Coordinate with external and internal auditors, tax authorities, banks, and governmental bodies;
Monitor tax compliance and minimize tax-related risks;
Manage and supervise the accounting team, allocate responsibilities, and monitor task execution;
Participate in automation and optimization of financial and accounting processes;
Oversee accounting for fixed assets, inventory, aviation-related expenses, lease transactions, and settlements with suppliers and contractors;
Monitor cash flow operations and compliance with financial controls and procedures;
Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies, internal regulations, and internal control procedures;
Support ERP and accounting systems implementation and other corporate system integration projects.
Requirements:
Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field;
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or Deputy Chief Accountant;
Experience in the aviation industry, transportation sector, or large corporate environment will be considered an advantage;
Strong knowledge of accounting and tax legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Excellent knowledge of IFRS;
Experience in preparation of financial statements and audit support;
Advanced user of 1C, SAP, Excel, and other accounting systems;
Experience in accounting process automation and ERP system implementation;
Strong leadership and team management skills;
High level of responsibility, analytical thinking, and attention to detail;
English language proficiency at Intermediate level or higher will be considered an advantage.
